As is the custom, local laboratory organizations are joining together again in 2018 to celebrate our profession and commitment to patient care by sponsoring the “Patchwork of Knowledge” Conference.  The conference, sponsored by Kansas Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, American Society for Clinical Science-Missouri, and the Heart of America Chapter of CLMA , will be held at the Overland Park Marriott Hotel, Wednesday-Thursday, April 11-12, 2018.  For the 2018 conference a special educational tract will be added to include the Heart of America CLMA sponsored annual Summit on Molecular and Genomic Medicine. 

GENERAL INFORMATION: · All registrations will be made via the web link: http://ezregister.com/events/22706/ 

 Registration fees include admission: general sessions, exhibits, breaks, Wednesday and Thursday lunches, and Wednesday evening Vendor reception. 

· Lunch is included in the Full and Daily registration. 

· Lunch is included in the Full and Daily Student registration. 

· Institutional Registration includes two (2) badges for admission to general sessions, exhibits and breaks. Note: lunches are not included in the Institutional Registration. Lunches may be purchased separately. 

· Member rates are available to individuals who are current members of the Kansas Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, Missouri Clinical Laboratory Science, or Heart of America Chapter, CLMA. 

· Non-members may join as a part of registration, and participate at the KSCLS / CLMA member rate. 

· Complimentary registration will be available for individuals wishing to visit the exhibits only. Badges may be obtained at the registration desk. 

· PayPal or credit / debit cards may be used for online registrations. If you prefer to pay by check payable: HOA CLMA.

· Meals can not be guaranteed for registrations received after April 4, 2018. 

· Registration cancellation is available until April 4, 2018, must be in writing and subject to a $25.00 processing fee. 

· The meeting will be held at the Overland Park Marriott Convention Center at 10800 Metcalf Avenue Overland Park, KS

· A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel, with room rates of $138.00 for single or double occupancy.

P.A.C.E.© Credit: 

· The ASCLS P.A.C.E.© Program approves KSCLS as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences. 

· All sessions are pending approval for P.A.C.E.© credit. The P.A.C.E.© credits awarded for each session will be published in the final program. 

· CE Organizer will be used for P.A.C.E. documentation. 

· For those individuals wishing to participate in the ASCP Certification Maintenance Program (CMP), the program committee has attempted to offer continuing education sessions which meet the CMP for generalists (MLS and MLT). A minimum of 36 points over a period of three years is required and must include the following: 1 point in safety, 2 points each in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. Other areas that may be counted toward CMP are immunology, molecular diagnostics, management, education, and/or other related laboratory area(s) of interest.
